Boiler: put a little wobble in the line.
Boiler gives a video the shifting edges of a redrawn frame. Drop in a clip, adjust the amount of movement and how long a frame is held, then preview the result before processing the full video.
You can add chromatic separation, grain and static alongside the line boil. The result can be subtle or deliberately rough. Your footage stays on your computer.

Before you choose a workflow
What is line boil?
Small differences between redrawn outlines make a held image appear alive. Boiler creates a similar movement in existing footage. Read our guide to line boil for the visual idea behind it.
Which files can I use?
Boiler’s current product page lists MP4, MOV and animated GIF input, with H.264 MP4 output and the original audio. Check the current download page before planning a production workflow.
Does Boiler upload the video?
No. Boiler processes the footage on your machine. Its prebuilt app includes ffmpeg, so the video workflow does not require a separate ffmpeg installation.
What should I try first?
Start with a short copy of a clip. Adjust one frame in the live preview, compare a restrained setting with a stronger one, and process a short section before committing to the whole sequence. Keep the original file for comparison.
